Again, 60 Abducted, Properties Razed as Bandits Attack Zamfara Community

A suburb village under Maru Local Government in Zamfara state, Ruwan Tofa, has been attacked by suspected bandits with no fewer than 60 persons being kidnapped.
The daredevil gunmen also set multimillion properties ablaze, making several villagers homeless while others lost their respective businesses.
The attack comes barely a days after abducted Jangebe School Girls were rescued through the state government’s peace initiative.
A source narrated that half of the village was razed, and vehicles and shops set ablaze.
He added that the village head and his entire family have were abducted.
Similarly, several married women, children and the elderly persons were also whisked away by the gunmen.
When contacted, the Zamfara State Police Command said it is still gathering facts over the incident and would come with updates later in the day.
