Abductors of Kwara District Head Demand N50m Ransom

Dr Zubair Folorunsho Erubu, the Mogaji Erubu of Ilorin Emirate, in Kwara State was kidnapped about 32 hours ago and his kidnappers have contacted his family, seeking N50 million in ransom before releasing him.
According to a family source who spoke to INCNews247 said, they were contacted and an amount of fifty million naira was demanded.

“Although the family members have been trying all possible best to have him released but just yesterday, we were contacted. They asked for N50m naira,” he said.
On Thursday, Erubu was claimed to have been kidnapped on his way to his farm between Ilorin and Afon in the state’s Asa local government area.
Erubu who is in his 60s, is a retired permanent secretary in the state civil service and former Chief Medical Officer at the state Government House clinic.
He was also a personal physician to immediate past President of the Senate and former Kwara State Governor, Dr Bukola Saraki.
