AbdulRazaq Sends Urban and Regional Planning Bill to Kwara Assembly

Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Governor of Kwara State, has sent the “Kwara State Urban and Regional Planning Development Bill 2022” to the State House of Assembly for consideration.
This was according to a letter received and read by the Honourable Speaker of the House, Rt Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi on Wednesday.

The goal of the Executive Bill is to provide for the preparation of state physical planning and development, as well as other related matters.
The governor appealed to the legislatures to pass the bill in a timely and orderly manner.
Speaker Yakubu Danladi, on the other hand, referred the bill to the Committee on Rules and Businesses, which will set a date for the bill’s ‘First Reading.’
Meanwhile, a bill for a law to prohibit forceful entry and illegal occupation or fraudulent conduct in relation to landed properties in Kwara State and for connected purposes passed “First Reading”.
This was after the Speaker ordered the Clerk of the House, Hajia Halimah Jummai Kperogi to read the bill before the House for the first time.
