The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation has introduced a new capacity-building programme to train mid-level officers in Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS) departments across Nigeria’s Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
The initiative, developed in partnership with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) and the Central Result Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU), is expected to boost efficiency in government planning, policy implementation and service delivery.
Executive Vice Chair of the Foundation, Mrs. Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede, explained that the programme was designed to empower civil servants with modern skills and tools needed for governance in a rapidly changing world.

“This initiative is about giving our public sector leaders the capacity to plan effectively, track outcomes, and deliver tangible results to citizens. A Nigeria of improved schools, hospitals and communities starts with capable planners who know how to use data and strategy to drive change,” she said.
Participants will receive training in monitoring and evaluation, digital planning, research methods and data-driven policy making, while also being encouraged to embrace collaboration, innovation and accountability.
The Foundation said the new effort is in line with its longstanding commitment to public service reform.
Over the years, it has supported MDAs through targeted training in project management, policy writing and digital skills, as well as needs assessments to identify institutional weaknesses.
Founded by Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede and Mrs. Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede, the Foundation also supports healthcare initiatives and partners with organisations such as ABC Health, the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria (PSHAN) and the Nigerian Solidarity Support Fund (NSSF).
