Air Strikes Hit Terrorist Strongholds in Borno, Katsina, Enugu — DHQ

The Defence Headquarters, DHQ has announced major air interdiction successes across the North East, North West and South East, targeting terrorist hideouts, camps and logistics hubs.
Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja, made the disclosure on Thursday during the monthly operational briefing in Abuja.
According to Onoja, “From 26 November to 3 December 2025, the Air Components of Operations Hadin Kai, Fasin Yamma and Udo Ka conducted multiple close air support and interdiction missions, destroying terrorists’ camps and neutralising several of them.”

In Borno State, the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai carried out multiple sorties in Dikwa, New Marte and Gajibo on 26 November, targeting ISWAP/Boko Haram elements attempting logistic movements.
“The air support increased troops’ will to fight against ISWAP/BH terrorists and substantially disrupted their activities,” Onoja said.
Also, airstrikes under Operation Fasin Yamma targeted Sanusi Ikkus enclave in Kankara LGA and another in Faskari LGA of Katsina State between 27 November and 3 December.
Onoja said: “Targets were acquired and engaged with bombs and rockets in multiple passes. Battle Damage Assessment revealed that scores of terrorists were killed, while their camps and logistics were destroyed.”
In the South East, the Air Component of Operation Udo Ka conducted interdictions between 28 November and 2 December in Ezeagu LGA of Enugu State.
He said the strikes were based on confirmed intelligence and destroyed several terrorist camps.
Simultaneous ground operations in Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Cross River, Plateau, Kaduna, Benue, Nasarawa, Kogi and parts of the FCT recorded further arrests, neutralisations and rescues.
Onoja reaffirmed the military’s commitment to restoring peace.
“We convey our assurances that the Armed Forces is enhancing its operational tempo. We remain dedicated to ensuring that the remaining abducted students are rescued and returned home safely,” he said.
