ARCN ES Congratulates Oba Ladoja on Coronation as 44th Olubadan

The Executive Secretary of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN), Dr. Abubakar Adamu Dabban, has congratulated Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

 

Dr. Dabban, who was present at the coronation ceremony held on Friday, in Ibadan, described the new monarch as a true father and a symbol of unity.

 

He also congratulated the people of Ibadan and Oyo State at large for witnessing the historic moment.

 

The ARCN boss urged Nigerians to continue to support and exercise patience with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that some of the ongoing reforms have already begun to yield positive results due to the people’s cooperation.

Dr. Dabban further disclosed that the Council is intensifying efforts to reform the agricultural research system to ensure sustainability in Nigeria’s food sector.

 

The coronation ceremony drew dignitaries from across the country, including the Governors of Ondo, Ekiti, and Osun States — Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Biodun Oyebanji, and Senator Ademola Adeleke.

 

Also in attendance were former Governors Donald Duke (Cross River), Olagunsoye Oyinlola (Osun), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (Kano), Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), and Senator Gbenga Daniel (Ogun).

 

Notable agricultural leaders present included Prof. Lateef Oladimeji Sanni, Executive Director, Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute; Dr. Rasheed Folorunsho, Provost, Federal College of Agriculture, Akure; and Dr. Abdulganiyu Ibrahim of the Federal Cooperative College, Ibadan.

 

Traditional rulers at the event included the Sultan of Sokoto and Co-Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III; the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade; and the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Olaoye.
