Clerics, Stakeholders Hold Prayer for Tinubu, AbdulRazaq, Araba in Ilorin

Religious leaders, political stakeholders, and supporters on Sunday converged on Government Day Secondary School, Amule, Ilorin, for a special prayer session organised by the Kwara Central Ulama in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and governorship aspirant, Engr. Femi Sanni Araba.

The programme, which recorded a large turnout of Muslim clerics, party faithful, and community leaders, centred on prayers for national stability, sustained development, and political success ahead of future elections.

Conveners of the event said the gathering was aimed at seeking divine guidance for Tinubu’s anticipated re-election bid, while also mobilising grassroots support for Araba’s governorship ambition in Kwara State.

Participants offered prayers for peace, unity, and progress in the country, as well as for the continued success of the AbdulRazaq administration.

The clerics stressed the need for leadership anchored on justice, accountability, and service to the people.

The event also served as a mobilisation platform, reinforcing party loyalty and strengthening political ties among supporters across Kwara Central.

Many attendees described the initiative as timely, noting that spiritual engagement remains a significant element of the state’s political culture.

They pointed to the presence of diverse groups, including youth organisations, women groups, and local influencers, as an indication of growing support for Araba’s aspiration.

Organisers, however, maintained that beyond its political undertone, the prayer session was primarily about collective hope for a more prosperous Nigeria and Kwara State.

They urged citizens to remain committed to peaceful coexistence and democratic values.

The programme is expected to continue with more prayers, sermons, and community interactions in the coming days.
