Customs Spokesperson, Maiwada Named Among Nigeria’s Top 50 PR Professionals

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has recorded another milestone as its National Public Relations Officer, Assistant Comptroller of Customs, AC Abdullahi Maiwada, has been named among Nigeria’s top 50 PR professionals in the 2025 PR Power List.
The prestigious list, published by GLG Communications in partnership with the Guardian Newspaper, recognizes PR professionals who have made significant impact in the communication space.
AC Maiwada was named in the Changemakers Category, which celebrates professionals who have introduced innovative communication practices with measurable results.

The category recognizes individuals who have challenged the norm and driven impactful change through their work.
According to the organizers, the 2025 PR Power List honors individuals who have shaped the future of public relations through bold moves, long-term experience, and impact-driven communication.
Reacting to the recognition, AC Maiwada described the listing as a humbling milestone and a testament to the progress made in institutional communication within the Nigeria Customs Service.
He credited the team he works with and the visionary leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, for empowering them to think differently and act boldly.
