Darlington Mocks Portable Over Fake Life
By Roselyn James
Popular Nigerian artist, Speed Darlington took a jab at fellow musician Portable following his arrest for unpaid car debt.
Portable, known for his hit song “Zazu,” was detained by members of the Lagos State Police Command after allegedly refusing to settle his debt accrued from purchasing a G-Wagon from a state auto dealer.
In response to Portable’s predicament, Speed Darlington ridiculed the singer, suggesting he was trying to live a lavish lifestyle beyond his means.
Darlington said that his Benz is eighteen years old and clarified that, in contrast to Portable, he lives within his means.
In a video shared on his Instagram account, Darlington remarked, “Una see Portable jump fence? Portable don cast o! Yoruba superstar no get money for Benz [laughs].
“Nobody is looking for me. Everything is cash and carry. I dont hang my hand on a shoulder I cant reach. Portable was showing off his GLE, he lacked the funds to purchase it.
“Guess who old my Benz is? 18 years. But Ive peace of mind. I cant jump fence.”
