The governor said Sheikh Muhammad Bashir was known for his profound knowledge of Islam, patience, humility and exemplary character, which endeared him to people within and outside Kwara State.

“He will be greatly missed for his uniquely outstanding scholarship, his patience and good nature, as well as his fine qualities as the leading Imam in our state,” AbdulRazaq said.

He extended his condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari (OFR), the entire Ilorin Emirate, the Kwara State Council of Ulamah and the immediate family of the deceased.

He also prayed Allah to grant the family, the Ilorin Emirate and the Muslim community the strength to bear the loss.
