Traditional Fulani titleholders under the aegis of the Kwara South Jowuros have commended the Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, MOK Foundation for distributing farm inputs to farmers across the senatorial district, describing the intervention as timely and beneficial to rural communities.
The Jowuros gave the commendation during a radio programme monitored on Saturday, where representatives of the group noted the importance of the support to smallholder farmers ahead of the 2026 planting season.
According to the traditional leaders, the distribution of fertilisers, improved seedlings and agrochemicals would ease the burden on farmers battling rising production costs and limited access to quality farm inputs.

One of the representatives said, “We want to thank the MOK Foundation for remembering our farmers at this critical time. This gesture will go a long way in improving yields and encouraging more young people to take agriculture seriously.”
The Fulani leaders noted that many rural farmers in Kwara South had struggled in recent years due to the high cost of agricultural inputs, stressing that the intervention would help improve food production and strengthen livelihoods across communities in the zone.
They also urged other well-meaning individuals, groups and organisations to emulate MOK Foundation’s grassroots support initiative, adding that agriculture remained the backbone of the economy in Kwara South.
The Jowuros further appealed to beneficiaries to make proper use of the items distributed and avoid diversion, so that the impact of the intervention could be felt widely.
They added that they would continue to support programmes and initiatives aimed at promoting rural development and food security in the region.
The MOK Foundation, founded by Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, has carried out several interventions in education, healthcare and agriculture across Kwara State.
