Kwara Hotel Remodeling Reaches 25% Completion – Commissioner
The Kwara State Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology (BIT), Damilola Yusuf-Adelodun, has commended the contractor handling the remodeling of Kwara Hotel, Craneburg Construction Company, for exceeding the 25% completion target set by the ministry.
Yusuf-Adelodun led reporters on a facility tour of the hotel in Ilorin on Monday, where she expressed satisfaction with the progress of work.
“The work done so far has actually exceeded our initial timeline. From the Ministry’s assessment, this work has already reached 25% completion.

“Initially, it was supposed to be at 20% at this time. So the contractor is moving fast, and they are doing their work efficiently,” she said.
The commissioner explained that the decision to remodel the hotel was to restore its legacy and meet international standards.
She highlighted the installation of a central cooling system, automated fire system, and solar power components to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Project Manager, Craneburg Construction Company, Mohammed Yamout, assured that the company is committed to delivering international standards and meeting the stipulated deadline.
In a related development, Yusuf-Adelodun also inspected the Innovation Hub, which is nearing completion.
She said the hub aims to promote ICT startups and technology skills among youths, as envisioned by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The hub is expected to attract start-up and technological companies, promote ease of doing business, and create job opportunities for over 10,000 young people.
