Troops of the Armed Forces of Nigeria have rescued 22 kidnapped victims and arrested several terror suspects in coordinated operations across the North-Central region.

The Defence Headquarters said troops under Operation SAVANNAH SHIELD, Operation ENDURING PEACE and Operation WHIRL STROKE carried out offensive patrols and clearance operations in Kwara, Niger, Plateau, Benue, Kogi, Nasarawa, Taraba and Kaduna states within the period under review.

In Kwara State, troops responding to a distress call in Patigi Local Government Area pursued fleeing terrorists into forested areas and recovered motorcycles earlier snatched from villagers.
