Mufti of Ilorin, Onikijipa Calls for Prayers, Patience Amid Economic Crises in Nigeria

The Grand Mufti of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh Suleiman Faruq-Onikijipa, OON, has urged Nigerians, particularly those in the Ilorin emirate, to exercise patience amid the current economic challenges facing the country.
Sheikh Faruq-Onikijipa made the call in response to recent protests by youth regarding the impact of hunger and poverty in the country.

The Grand Mufti empathized with the plight of the people, citing verses from the Holy Quran that express hope for relief after suffering, and urged Nigerians to view the situation as a test from Allah.
Sheikh Faruq-Onikijipa further admonished the federal and state governments to take immediate action to address the present difficulties in the country.
The Grand Mufti of Ilorin emirate also advised Nigerians to turn to Allah and seek His guidance and help, emphasizing that prayer is the only solution to the current challenges.
