Neuropsychiatric Hospital Budo-Egba: Oloriegbe Facilitates N500m Take-off Grant

The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Distinguished Senator Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe has facilitated the release of the sum of Five Hundred Million Naira (N500m) to the newly established Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Budo-Egba, Kwara State.

The fund is for the hospital to execute necessary projects that will enable the institution to commence services effectively. The projects include the procurement of essential medical equipment, provision of water services, provision of Generators, provision of utility vehicles including ambulances, construction of perimeter fencing and gatehouse as well as the procurement of other essential furniture, and items that will enable the hospital to function properly.

The lawmaker expresses his appreciation and gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari, Secretary to Government of Federation, Boss Mustapha, Chief of Staff to the President, Prof Ibrahim Gambari, Minister of Finance and National Planning, Dr Zainab Shamshudeen, Minister of State for Health, Senator Dr Adeleke Olorunimbe Mamora and others for making this possible.

In addition to the take-off grant, the Senator had facilitated the provision of Eight Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (N850m) in the 2022 budget for the implementation of various projects in the hospital including the construction of a world-class Drug and Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Centre, the foundation of which was laid recently.

Meanwhile, the Senator is also making frantic efforts to secure the necessary approval and waivers that will enable the institution to recruit the staff needed for optimal service delivery to the people of Kwara Central and beyond.
