The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has been honored with Golden World Award (GWA) for Crisis Communication by the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).

This prestigious award acknowledges the Service’s exceptional public relations efforts, specifically its “100 Days of Impactful PR at Customs Service” campaign.

The recognition underscores the campaign’s effectiveness in addressing critical challenges during Adeniyi’s initial 100 days in office.

“The campaign showcased our ability to navigate operational difficulties, foster vital stakeholder collaboration, enhance border security, and drive significant revenue growth,” Adeniyi noted.

Philip Sheppard, IPRA Secretary-General, praised Adeniyi’s leadership, emphasizing its crucial role in the campaign’s success. “The Comptroller-General’s strategic vision and commitment to stakeholder engagement have yielded remarkable results.”

Established in 1990, the Golden World Awards celebrate excellence in public relations across various categories.

This recognition solidifies the NCS’s commitment to aligning its activities with international communication and governance standards.

As the NCS declares 2024 the “Year of Stakeholders,” Comptroller-General Adeniyi reaffirmed the Service’s dedication to maintaining open communication channels with its partners. “We will continue to prioritize strategic communication efforts, strengthening our relationships with traditional and new stakeholders.”
