NIMC Upgrades Diaspora NIN Enrolment Platform for Enhanced Service Delivery

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) says it has successfully upgraded its diaspora enrolment platform to ensure more efficient, secure and seamless National Identification Number (NIN) registration for Nigerians living abroad.
In a statement on Monday, NIMC’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, said the upgrade would deliver robust and effective NIN services, addressing previous challenges encountered by Nigerians in the Diaspora.
According to him, Diaspora Front-End Partners (FEPs) have been onboarded on the new platform and undergone intensive training to enhance their capacity in managing the system.

“All Diaspora FEPs are required to obtain and activate their NIN enrolment licences on the upgraded platform within 48 hours,” the statement read. “Diaspora applicants can immediately access services from compliant partners.”
The Commission apologised for any inconvenience caused during the upgrade process and announced the creation of a dedicated service team to handle complaints.
Diaspora applicants facing challenges were advised to contact nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng for prompt resolution.
While reaffirming that enrolment is ongoing at all centres nationwide, NIMC urged Nigerians at home and abroad to visit its website to locate enrolment centres or modify their NIN data via the self-service modification portal.
The Commission also encouraged NIN holders to download the NIMC NINAuth App from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store to verify their NINs, manage access to their personal information, and enjoy seamless verification and authentication services.
