“The synergy between NIS and NIMC is crucial to building a secure and efficient identity system that supports national development goals,” she said.

In response, Coker-Odusote welcomed the NIS delegation and reiterated NIMC’s readiness to expand collaboration with the Immigration Service.

She emphasised the need for sustained cooperation to ensure data integrity and streamline operational procedures.

Odusote further noted that strong identity infrastructure would support robust border management and enhance national security.

Both agencies pledged to continue working closely to advance policies and initiatives that promote security, efficiency, and innovation in the country’s identity and border management systems.
