He noted that the community development projects initiated by the corps members and their contributions to improving lives in their host communities would remain part of the country’s development story.
Nafiu urged the outgoing corps members to utilise the knowledge and skills acquired through the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme to create employment opportunities and become self-reliant.
He encouraged them to embrace entrepreneurship, forge new paths and contribute meaningfully to society rather than wait solely for paid employment.
The NYSC boss also urged them to uphold the scheme’s core values of patriotism, integrity, efficiency, commitment, teamwork and self-reliance as they begin the next phase of their lives.
He further charged them to demonstrate leadership and become agents of national unity, progress and development wherever they find themselves.
The director-general wished the outgoing corps members success in their future endeavours, urging them to remain committed to the service of the country beyond their NYSC years.
He reaffirmed the scheme’s commitment to producing responsible and patriotic graduates capable of contributing to national development.
