PTAD Disburses N3.9bn Arrears to Over 91,000 Pensioners

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has completed the payment of N3.9 billion in arrears to 91,146 pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS), as part of the N32,000 increment approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
According to PTAD, N1.9 billion was paid to 59,865 pensioners under the Parastatals Pension Department, N830 million to 12,976 pensioners under the Civil Service Pension Department, N620 million to 9,689 pensioners under the Police Pension Department, and N551 million to 8,616 pensioners under the Customs, Immigration, and Prisons Pension Department.

PTAD Executive Secretary, Tolulope A. Odunaiya, said the disbursement reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to settling outstanding arrears and improving pensioners’ welfare under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.
She added that the Directorate remains dedicated to ensuring timely and transparent payments to retirees across all sectors.
The payment is part of ongoing government efforts to enhance social security and provide financial relief to pensioners nationwide.
