PTAD Unveils Revised Service Charter, Reaffirms Commitment to Pensioners’ Welfare

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has launched a revised Service Charter, themed “A Renewed Commitment to Service Excellence”, as part of ongoing efforts to improve service delivery under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS).
The unveiling ceremony, held on Wednesday, at the Directorate’s headquarters in Abuja, attracted top government officials and stakeholders in the pension sector, including the Honourable Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, CFA, and the Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom), Ms. Omolola Oloworaran.
In her remarks, Dr. Uzoka-Anite commended PTAD for raising the bar in public service administration, stressing that pensioners deserve consistent attention to their welfare and dignity.

She described the revised Service Charter as a vital framework that would further strengthen trust between pensioners and government institutions, while assuring the Ministry’s continued support for PTAD’s reforms.
Speaking at the event, PTAD’s Executive Secretary, Tolulope Odunaiya, noted that the revised Charter represents more than a policy document.
According to her, “It is a covenant with our pensioners and stakeholders,” underscoring the Directorate’s determination to entrench timeliness, professionalism, and empathy in service delivery.
Similarly, the PenCom DG, Ms. Oloworaran, in her goodwill message, hailed PTAD’s collaborative approach within the pension ecosystem, adding that well-defined service standards are essential for transparency, efficiency, and long-term sustainability of the nation’s pension system.
Other goodwill messages from SERVICOM, the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), and pension union leaders applauded PTAD’s commitment to accountability and urged the agency to remain steadfast in its pledge to pensioners.
With the launch of the revised Service Charter, stakeholders were given fresh insight into PTAD’s evolving service standards and innovative measures designed to enrich the experiences of DBS pensioners.
