Red Cross to Train Amotekun Corps on First Aid, Safety

The International Federal Red Cross and Security, has announced its collaboration with the South-West Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, to train their personnel on first aid and safety.
Moses Taiwo, the Director of International Federal Red Cross and Security in Abuja, made the announcement during his visit to the Osun State Commander of the corps, Brig.-Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi in Osogbo on Wednesday.
Taiwo appreciated the corps commander for hosting the organisation and commended the corps for its remarkable achievements in tackling crimes in the state.
He added that the success of Amotekun Corps in combating crime encouraged the International Red Cross to collaborate with them in training their personnel on first aid and safety during their operations.

Taiwo also expressed the readiness of the International Red Cross to partner with relevant stakeholders in the state to curb crime and provide first aid and safety training for their personnel.
He emphasised the need for synergy and collaboration in collectively eradicating crimes across the board.
In response, Adewinmbi expressed his appreciation for the International Red Cross and stated that they were equally prepared to collaborate with the organisation in educating their personnel on First Aid and Safety.
He thanked the organisation for acknowledging the corps and assured them that the corps would not relent in protecting the lives and property of residents in the state.
Adewinmbi also assured the Red Cross officials of their safety in the state, noting that the Amotekun Corps was always ready to assist them at any time.
Adewinmbi advised the general public to beware of some alleged hunters who impersonate as Amotekun personnel during incidents.
He urged the residents of the state to contact the state Amotekun Field Commander on 09060972647 whenever they are suspicious of any security agent to clear their doubts.
