The leaderships of the Kwara State’s road transport workers have reaffirmed their support for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq‘s administration, assuring massive mobilisation for his re-election at due time.
The assurance was made during the week when the Chairmen of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Alhaji Abdulrazaq Ariwoola and Abdulrahman Olayinka Onikijipa paid a working visit to Senior Special Assistant on Community Interventions, Hon. Kayode Oyin-Zubair in his office.
“We are mobilizing for his re-election and he will win again Insha Allah. We must thank him for touching every aspect of human life. He deserves our support anyday,” they said.
“We are solidly behind this government and we are working for the success of the government. Please inform His Excellency we are with him.”

The Governor’s aide responded by praising their unwavering loyalty and love for the governor, emphasizing that their welfare is a top concern for the government, and that the government will not rest on its oars in assuring wealth creation and prosperity for the people.
“As it stands today we are refunding CBN N33m monthly for the N2bn given the state some few years back. If we have this fund you can trust the Governor that more people would have gone to those in private capacities like you and you would have had more to enjoy,” he said.
“However, he is not resting on his oars at ensuring we create wealth and prosperity amongst our people. I have that mandate as part of our community driven development agenda.”
According to reports, the government is close to finalising a scheme that will benefit some members of the two sister transport unions.
