Troops Eliminate 8 Notorious Bandits, Rescue Kidnapped Victims in Zamfara

The Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Musa Danmadami, says Troops of Operation Forest Sanity on Friday, eliminated eight bandits and rescued four kidnapped victims during clearance operation at bandits’ camps in Zamfara forest.
Danmadami said the troops, while on patrol had engaged the terrorists in a fire fight neutralising eight of them while others scampered for safety with gun shoot wounds.

He further added that the troops explored the area after the shoot out and rescued four kidnapped victims.
The bandit camps were located at Dutse Uku forest in Lanke and Danmarke villages in Gummi Local Government Area of Zamfara.
