The Armed Forces of Nigeria has intercepted a large consignment of medical supplies allegedly meant for terrorist groups
According to a statement by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja and obtained by INCNews247 on Friday detailing activities between April 10 and 16, 2026, troops operating under Operation Hadin Kai in the North-East intercepted a trailer conveying hundreds of cartons of antibiotics, surgical consumables and other medical items concealed beneath cement bags in Yobe State.
The military said the waybill falsely described the cargo as beverages and household items en route from Kano to Geidam.

“The driver and three motor boys have been taken into custody, while investigations are ongoing to identify the consignor,” the statement noted.
In a related development, troops arrested a suspect in Borno State who allegedly supplied Premium Motor Spirit to terrorists for about a decade. Items recovered included 60 litres of fuel, a mobile phone and cash.
Operations in Adamawa and Yobe states also led to the arrest of suspected informants and logistics suppliers, while several criminal hideouts were raided with the recovery of weapons, electronic devices and over N2.1m.
The military further disclosed that clearance operations across forested areas spanning Bauchi, Plateau and Taraba states resulted in the dismantling of terrorist camps and the arrest of a deputy ring leader linked to a notorious kingpin.
