Troops Eliminate Notorious Terrorist Commander, 26 Combatants in Borno

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have dealt a significant blow to the terrorist group in Borno State, neutralizing a wanted and notorious Terrorist Commander, Abu Rijab and 26 combatants in their enclave in Bula Daloye, Bama Local Government Area.
According to a statement by Major General Edward Buba, Director Media Operations, Defence Headquarters on Monday, the operation was carried out on August 17, 2024, resulting in the recovery of several weapons and ammunition, including items of high intelligence value.

The statement assured that ongoing operations will ensure that other terrorist commanders and leaders meet the same fate, describing them as “dead men walking”.

This latest success is seen as a major boost to the military’s efforts in combating terrorism in the North-East region.
