Ulammah Confer ‘Zeenatu Deenul Islam’ Title on Moro Chairperson

The Moro Local Government Council of Ulammah and Imams has conferred the title of Zeenatu Deenul Islam of Moro Land (Oso Adinni Islam Ile Moro Lapapo) on the Executive Chairperson of Moro Local Government, Alhaja Chief (Mrs) Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo.
The honour was bestowed during a Special Prayer and Maolud Nabiyy held to commemorate her one year in office.

Presenting the title, the Chief Imam of Bode-Saadu, alongside other Chief Imams from five districts, said the recognition was in appreciation of her support for religious institutions, her role in community development and her exemplary leadership.
Also speaking, the Chief Imam of Shehu Alimi Central Mosque, Jebba, Imam Muhammad Sani Danlami, noted that Omotayo’s service transcended politics, stressing that she had consistently promoted both the social and spiritual well-being of residents of the council.
In her response, the chairperson expressed gratitude to the Ulammah and pledged to sustain the developmental strides recorded in her first year in office.
She said her administration would focus on consolidating its gains while prioritising unity, infrastructural growth and empowerment programmes for women and youths across all wards in Moro Local Government.
