Nigeria’s 63rd Independence: Defence Minister Vows to Strengthen National Security

The Honourable Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar CON, mni, has conveyed a message of renewed hope and determination to the diligent staff of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the nation at large as Nigeria marks its 63rd Independence Day today.
In a statement, the Minister expressed his unwavering commitment to building a strong and prosperous future for the country under the present administration.
The Ministry of Defence, aligning itself with the Hope agenda, pledged its dedication to working alongside President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in propelling Nigeria towards prosperity and growth.

Minister Abubakar assured that the safety of Nigerians would be the highest priority, and efforts would be directed towards rebuilding the capacities of the nation’s security services.
“As we commemorate a day that holds great significance for the vibrant Nigerians with renewed hope and determination of this present administration to build a strong and better future for Nigerians, I pray our dreams of becoming a strong and prosperous nation shall be fulfilled,” he said.
“We, in Ministry of Defence have keyed into the renewed Hope agenda of this administration and we are committed to join Mr. President in placing our nation on the path of prosperity and growth.
“We shall ensure that the safety of Nigerians is given the highest priority by rebuilding the capacities of our security services.
“Congratulations to all Staff of the Ministry and Nigerians in general for Nigeria @ 63.”
