AbdulRazaq Approves Promotion Exams for 3,700 Kwara TESCOM Staff
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the conduct of promotion examinations for all categories of teaching and non-teaching staff of the Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) for year 2022.
The promotion examinations, including oral and written test, will involve 3,700 TESCOM staff who were due for the next cadre as part of Governor AbdulRazaq administration’s commitment to improving the quality of education in the State.

A statement by the TESCOM Chairman, Mallam Bello Tauheed Abubakar, commended the Governor for his commitment to workers’ welfare in the state, especially his huge investment in the education sector, which has made public schools in the state a model for preparing students and restoring the dignity of teachers.
The Chairman said the schedule for the examinations and interviews will be released in due course.
Abubakar, however, urged TESCOM staff to reciprocate the gesture by being more committed to their duties and join hands with the administration to make its education policies a success.
It would be recalled that the AbdulRazaq’s administration had last year cash-backed promotion arrears for teachers dating back to 2015, 2016, and 2017, and also approved the promotion of 7,493 TESCOM staff due for the 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 promotions respectively.
