Asagba of Asaba Hails FRSC’s Commitment to Road Safety

 

 

The Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty Professor Epiphany Azinge, has commended the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for its tireless efforts in ensuring safety on Nigerian roads.

 

 

He specifically praised the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, and his team for their resilience and dedication to reducing road crashes.

 

 

During a visit to his palace in Asaba, Delta State, on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, the royal father emphasized the crucial role the FRSC plays in maintaining safety on Delta State roads and the nation’s highways.

He also congratulated the Corps Marshal on his appointment and urged all stakeholders to support the FRSC’s vision of reducing road crashes.

 

 

The Asagba of Asaba identified the Niger bridges as a major challenge to smooth traffic flow, particularly during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

 

 

He pledged the support of the Asaba people in partnering with the FRSC to make the roads safer.

 

 

In his response, the Corps Marshal appreciated the royal father’s passion for road safety and revealed that his visit was part of the FRSC’s end-of-year traffic monitoring exercise.

 

 

The goal, he explained, is to achieve zero deaths and injuries on Nigerian roads, in line with the United Nations Decade of Action on Road Safety and Injury Prevention.
