BREAKING: Bala Mohammed Re-elected Bauchi Governor

The incumbent Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has been declared the winner of the State’s governorship election held on Saturday, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Announcing the election results on Monday at the State Collation Centre, the INEC returning officer, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed, declared that Bala Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP polled 525,280 votes to emerge victorious in the election.

Mohammed won in 13 local government areas out of the 19 LGA results in the State.

The candidate of the major opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar (rtd), won in only six local government areas of the State, and scored 283,000 votes.
