Buni Approves Recruitment of 45 Midwives in Yobe

The recruitment of 45 midwives who just graduated from Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery in Damaturu has been approved by Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni.
Buni said the midwives would be deployed to various healthcare centers across the state, according to a statement issued by his Director-General, Press and Media Affairs, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, in Damaturu on Tuesday.
The governor stated that providing healthcare services remained a high priority for his government, and that staff and equipment would be provided as needed.
His administration’s goal, he claims, is to make healthcare more accessible and inexpensive for the citizens of the state.
Buni, therefore, urged the successful midwives to be dedicated to their duties and justify the confidence reposed in them in their new areas of assignment.
