FG Declares June 6 and 9 as Eid-ul-Adha Public Holidays
The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to commemorate this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement in a statement signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani and seen by INCNews247.
In his congratulatory message, Tunji-Ojo urged Muslims to embody the spirit of sacrifice and faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, while also praying for Nigeria’s peace and prosperity.

He emphasized that President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aims to restore the country to its former glory.
The Minister called on Nigerians to join hands with the administration in its efforts to reposition the nation for greatness.
“The people-oriented reforms and initiatives carried out are to restore Nigeria on the path of progress,” he assured.
