The Inmates Educational Foundation has a proven track record of success, having positively impacted over 2,500 inmates in Lagos, Osun, and Ebonyi states.
The Kano prison education project is the first of its kind in decades in the state, aiming to provide sustainable and adaptable education to inmates.
The foundation has deployed over 30 well-trained teachers and provided 20 General Certificate of Education (GCE) West African Examinations Council (WAEC) forms to support the inmates’ educational journey.
Expressing his gratitude, Mudathir acknowledged the significant contributions of the funders, Nigeria Youth Future Funds, and Leap Africa.
He also commended the dedication of the Kano State Volunteers team, led by Abubakar ISA, for their unwavering support.
“I urge the inmates to embrace this opportunity with enthusiasm and dedication,” Mudathir emphasized. “Education is the key to unlocking your potential and shaping a brighter future.”
Mudathir further appreciated the efforts of Mr. SC Musbahu Lawan, the Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Command, and Mr. Nasiru GWALE, the Coordinating Officer of the project.
He reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to empowering lives through education. “This launch marks a significant step forward in our mission. We remain dedicated to transforming lives and fostering a culture of learning within our custodial centers.”
