Gunmen Abduct District Head in Kwara

Dr Zubair Folorunsho Erubu, the Mogaji Erubu of Ilorin Emirate in Kwara State, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
INCNews247 learnt Erubu was abducted on his way to his farm between Ilorin and Afon in the state’s Asa Local Government Area on Thursday.

Erubu, who is said to be in his 60s, is a former Chief Medical Officer at the state Government House clinic and a retired permanent secretary in the state civil service.
The commissioner of police, Tuesday Assayomo, had ordered a discreet investigation of the incident, the rescue of the victim, and the arrest of the suspected kidnappers, said in a statement by the State Police Command’s Spokesperson, Okasanmi Ajayi.
