IEDPU Northern Zone Kick-off Annual Convention in Maje, Suleja

The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, IEDPU Northern Zone is gearing up to host its 49th Annual Convention, Merit Award, and Fund Raising in Maje, Suleja.
The event, which kicks off today, Friday, November 22, 2024, is expected to bring together delegates from the 19 states of the Northern region and Abuja, representing over 50 branches in total.
According to the convention’s schedule, today will see the arrival of delegates from across the Northern region and Abuja, marking the official commencement of the convention.

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 23, 2024, the convention’s Opening Ceremony will take place at AB Gamji Hall, Opposite Kwamba Timber Shade, Suleja, Minna Road, Niger State.
The Opening Ceremony promises to be a colorful event, featuring Kengbe entertainment, lectures, and speeches.
The theme of the convention, “Ilorin Emirate Development: The Way Forward,” reflects the Union’s commitment to promoting the development of the Ilorin Emirate and the Northern Zone as a whole.
The event will also feature the presentation of Awards of Meritorious Service to deserving members and non-members, as well as a general reception.
The Opening Session will be graced by the presence of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR, the Emir of Ilorin, who also serves as the Life Patron of the Union.
Other dignitaries expected to attend the convention include the National President of the Union, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, Barrister Ahmed Moyosore, the Zonal Chairman of IEDPU, Chairman of IEDPU Maje Branch, Engr Salaudeen A. Baba, among others.
The convention will also feature Working Sessions and Zonal Meetings, where crucial decisions regarding the Emirate and Northern Zone will be deliberated upon, and a communique will be issued at the conclusion of these meetings.
The IEDPU Northern Zone’s annual convention promises to be an engaging and informative event that will not only celebrate the unique identity of the Ilorin Emirate but also provide a platform for important discussions and decisions affecting the Emirate and the Northern Zone as a whole.
The convention is open to the general public, and it is expected to draw a diverse and enthusiastic audience from across Nigeria and beyond.
