Ilorin Likeminds Hails Its Life Patron, Emir Sulu-Gambari on 30th Anniversary of His Reign
The Ilorin Likeminds Foundation has congratulated its Life Patron, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, on his 30th anniversary on the throne.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Yusuf Lawal, and the National President, Alhaji Saheed Alakoso, and released through the Director of Publicity, Ahmed Moyosore, Esq, the Foundation lauded the Emir for his visionary leadership, statesmanship, and unwavering commitment to the development of the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

The group said the Emir’s three decades of purposeful reign have strengthened unity, deepened cultural and spiritual values, and positioned Ilorin as a model of peace and progress.
“The past 30 years of His Royal Highness’s reign have been a shining testament to wisdom, humility, and dedication to the service of humanity,” the statement read.
“Under his watch, Ilorin has remained a beacon of peace, a cradle of learning, and a rallying point for cultural pride.”
The Foundation also praised Dr. Sulu-Gambari’s contributions to education, youth empowerment, and interfaith harmony, noting that his leadership has inspired generations and fostered enduring communal bonds.
Describing the Emir as “a father to all and a symbol of unity and progress,” the organisation commended his role in promoting community development and peaceful coexistence across Kwara State.
The Foundation further prayed for the Emir’s continued good health, wisdom, and divine guidance as he continues to lead the Ilorin Emirate with grace and foresight.
