Ilorin Sons Donate Bus, Land, Millions of Naira to Boost IEDPU FCT

The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja has received a major boost following generous donations of a bus, cash and land by prominent indigenes of the Emirate residing in Abuja.
The gestures aimed at strengthening the Union’s operations and consolidating its developmental drive were described as both timely and remarkable.
Leading the contributions, renowned businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji AbdulAkeem Bello, presented a brand-new Toyota Hiace bus to the Union at a colourful ceremony in Abuja.

In a similar show of support, Alhaji Oladimeji Suleiman Abdulwasiu donated ₦3 million, while Alhaji Hamza Yusuf contributed ₦1 million to support the Union’s programmes and activities.
Adding to the momentum, Alhaji Isiaka Zakariyau Ahmed offered a parcel of land in Gwagwalada, earmarked for future development projects tied to the Union’s expansion plans.

Reacting to the donations, Chairman of IEDPU FCT, Alhaji Lukman Abdullahi, expressed deep appreciation to the benefactors, describing their support as a milestone in the Union’s collective journey.
He said the vehicle would greatly enhance the Union’s activities, while the financial and land donations would fast-track its long-term aspirations, including the establishment of a permanent Secretariat in the FCT.
Abdullahi further noted that since his assumption of office, the IEDPU FCT has been witnessing a series of developmental strides and sustainable innovations, made possible by the collective commitment of its members and supporters.
