IYD 2021: BBYDI Calls for Participation, Opens Registration Portal
Since 2014, Brain Builders Youth Development Initiativeh haschas International Youth Day (IYD) by organising events targeted at equipping young people with skills and knowledge to contribute to the development of their communities.
Each year, our event has centred on the theme for the year. We have designed different projects tailored towards the agenda for the year and promoted it through various channels.
This year’s IYD theme is: Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health. As stated in the UN’s 2021 IYD concept note, young people are critical to the actualisation of the Sustainable Development Goals and related frameworks. We align with the UN on this and acknowledge that the role of young people has never been more important than now.
In addressing this year’s IYD theme, we will also be addressing SDGs 1&2. When food systems are transformed, it will significantly impact efforts to end poverty and hunger globally.
This year’s event will address the issues around the IYD theme, educate and engage young people on the subject, and provide solutions that young people can localise for practical implementations.
We will be showcasing women Agropreneurs, Corporate organisations focusing on agric and a host of other people doing data-driven research in agriculture.
Like previous years, this year’s event by Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative will be impactful, and we encourage young people to participate. Register here https://bit.ly/bbydiinternationalyouth2021register
