Kwara CAILS Graduates Seven NAF Officers in Imamship Programme

The Kwara College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, Kwara CAILS, in Ilorin has awarded diploma certificates to seven officers of the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, who completed the Imamship Training Programme.

 

 

INCNews247 reports that the Centre for Degree and Professional Programmes (CDPP) of the institution organized the graduation ceremony, which took place on Tuesday in Ilorin.

 

 

In his remarks, Dr. Sa’ad Hadi, Provost of Kwara CAILS, said the graduation marks the beginning of the officers’ journey to become leaders in their respective military capacities, especially within the Muslim community.

 

 

“The role of Imam goes beyond leading congregational prayers in the Mosque; an Imam is a beacon of guidance, counselor, teacher, and role model,” he emphasized.

The programme equipped the Imams with the ability to lead prayers with a deep understanding of Islamic teachings, ethics, and principles of compassion, justice, and unity.

 

 

These values, the Provost noted will enable them to contribute to the moral and spiritual well-being of their peers and to the peace and cohesion of society.

 

 

Dr. Hadi commended the efforts of the instructors, mentors, and all those who contributed to the program’s success.

 

 

He advised the graduating officers to uphold integrity, serve selflessly, and inspire others through their actions, emphasizing that the title of Imam is a lifelong commitment to service, humility, and leadership.

 

 

Mallam Afolabi Suleiman, CAILS Registrar, presented diploma certificates to the graduating officers, including Yahaya Muktar from NAF Camp, Abuja; Tijani Adamu from Agarju Camp, Makurdi; Halidu Sufyan from NAF Headquarters, Abuja; Attahiru Mustapha from Makurdi; Yusuf Harunan from NAFCON, Kaduna; Umar Yusuf from CRG Camp, Gombe; and Ahmad Suleiman from 7 Life Camp, Minna.

 

 

Imam Yusufiyan Khalid, one of the graduands, delivered a captivating recitation from the Glorious Quran during the event.

 

 

Dr. Hadi urged them to remain steadfast in their faith, be pillars of strength in times of adversity, and strive for excellence in both their professional and spiritual endeavors.
