This comes as Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq also approved the full payment of the August 2022 salary.
Mr Oyewo Bashir, Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) in Kwara State, confirmed this in a statement.
He revealed that 15 per cent was approved out of the salary arrears as a consequence of the improvement in the monthly allocation from federation account.
According to him, “The Joint Allocation Committee (JAC) meeting was held today and an approval for the full payment of August salary has been granted.
“Based on the improvement in the monthly allocation from the federation account, 15% has also been approved out of the arrears of SUBEB as we hope and pray that federation allocations will continue to improve.”
Kwara State Government is one of the sub-national governments in Nigeria that does not owe workers salaries since the inception of Governor AbdulRazaq.
