Kwara United struggled to recover, making mistakes and forced to make an early substitution due to Shola AbdulRaheem’s injury in the 37th minute, replaced by Ayo Adejubu.
Despite a renewed determination in the second half, Kwara United failed to capitalize on a penalty opportunity when Emmanuel Ogbole was fouled in the box, and Paul Samson’s attempt was stopped by Lobi Stars goalkeeper, Lucky Abdullahi.
Lobi Stars’ coach, Eugene Agagbe, commended his team for the away win, emphasizing their goal to secure a top-three finish in the league.
He highlighted their organizational strength and tactical discipline.
Coach Dogo, while congratulating Lobi Stars, expressed confidence in Kwara United’s ability to bounce back.
He acknowledged the challenges faced at home but refrained from commenting further, stating that time will reveal the team’s issues.
Dogo pointed out that converting the penalty in the 43rd minute could have altered the match’s outcome in favor of Kwara United.
