Alhaji Lukman Atanda Felicitates with Shaikh Sholagberu on International Appointment

The Chairman of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter, Alhaji Lukman Atanda Abdullah, has congratulated renowned Ilorin-based Islamic scholar, Shaikh Abdulkadir Sholagberu, on his appointment to the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) in Doha, United Arab Emirates.
Abdullah in a statement on Friday said “We are delighted to see one of our own, Shaikh Abdulkadir Sholagberu, recognized globally for his exceptional scholarship and contributions to Islamic knowledge.”

He added that “This appointment is a pointer to his unwavering dedication to promoting Islamic values and his vast expertise in Islamic jurisprudence.”
The IEDPU Chairman noted that Shaikh Sholagberu’s appointment is a source of pride for the Ilorin Emirate and Nigeria, saying, “This recognition reaffirms the growing influence of Nigerian Islamic scholars in international forums. We are confident that Shaikh Sholagberu will excel in this new role and further solidify Nigeria’s presence in the global Islamic community.”
Shaikh Sholagberu’s appointment to the Islamic Jurisprudence Researchers Division of the IUMS was announced in a statement signed by the Union’s General Secretary, Dr. Muhammad Ali al-Solaby.
Abdullah believes “Shaikh Sholagberu’s inclusion in the IUMS is a significant milestone for Nigerian Islamic scholarship. His expertise will undoubtedly enrich the Union and promote Islamic values globally. We celebrate this achievement and wish him continued success in his new role.”
