With a starting fare of NGN100, Ibadan residents and visitors can ride Mevron at any time, any day of the week. The program issues riders a monthly voucher that is valid for eight one-way trips through Mevron’s mobile app. The Mevron NGN1000 free ride program will subsidize rides for up to NGN1000 per ride. Riders will be responsible for any charges or fees that go over the NGN1000 City subsidy.
Over the years, the City of Ibadan has been looking for a way to access citywide transportation that is both cost-effective and convenient for residents and visitors. So, the City of Ibadan is excited to partner with Mevron and its innovative platform in bringing a transportation program that embraces technology and meets the affordability and convenience needs of the community.
We’re proud to stand with the City of Ibadan to expand public transportation to more people and places, said Mevron Regional Manager, Omotola Solomon. Programs like the one we’re launching today can help communities stay connected, and, more importantly, expand mobility to those who most critically need it. We look forward to working even more closely with the City of Ibadan in the coming months.
