NAHCON Inaugurates Committees for Tour Operators’ Screening

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has inaugurated two committees to screen applications and inspect offices of licensed tour operators.
Commissioner of Operations, Prince Anofie Olarenwaju Elegushi, announced the committees today, November 12, 2025.
Alhaji Alidu Shutti will head the Screening of Application Committee, while Alhaji Abdul-Ghaffar leads the Inspection of Nationwide Offices Committee.

Commissioner Elegushi emphasized the committees’ vital role in licensing, regulating, and supervising Hajj and Umrah activities, citing NAHCON Act 4, Section 1.
He urged committee members to work diligently, without sentiment or compromise, ensuring screened companies meet required documentation. Elegushi stressed adherence to the 2025 Hajj calendar.
Alhaji Abdul-Ghaffar promised efficient delivery within the specified timeframe.
