The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has inaugurated its reputation management guide in Zone ‘A’ as part of efforts to entrench integrity, strengthen public trust, and improve service delivery.
The programme was launched on Monday at the Apapa Area Command, Lagos.
Zonal Coordinator, Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) Charles Orbih, said the initiative marked a new chapter in the image rebranding of Customs officers across the country.

“Understanding what we deal with is fundamental to our success. Reputation, as defined in this guide, is a collective perspective about institutional integrity and performance,” Orbih stated.
He explained that for the NCS, a solid reputation would enhance public trust, promote inter-agency and international collaboration, boost staff morale, and improve citizen engagement.
Customs Area Controller of Apapa Area Command, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, pledged the commitment of officers in the zone to the ideals of the programme.
“On behalf of officers and men of Zone ‘A’, we are committed to living by the principles outlined in this guide,” Olomu affirmed.
The event featured technical presentations on reputation management and an interactive session aimed at reinforcing professionalism and patriotism among participants.
