The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has signed a contract for the implementation of the Employee Performance Management System (EPMS) — a move aimed at deepening accountability, transparency, and efficiency in public service delivery.

The signing ceremony, held on Monday, at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja, is part of efforts to align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and strengthen institutional performance across government agencies.

The event had in attendance the Director-General of NIMC, Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote, departmental heads, and representatives of Triple Edge Consult, the implementing partner for the project.

In her remarks, the Head of Human Capital Management, Mrs. Rhoda Jackden, said the EPMS would serve as a catalyst for improved productivity and accountability among staff. She noted that the initiative was designed to align individual performance with the Commission’s strategic goals and overall national objectives.

Representing Triple Edge Consult, Barrister Olusegun Adekunle explained that the new system provides a structured and measurable performance framework, allowing NIMC to track progress, evaluate outputs, and deliver better services to Nigerians.

Speaking shortly after the contract signing, the NIMC DG, Coker-Odusote, commended the initiative and urged all departmental and unit heads to key into the system. She said the EPMS was a vital tool for sustaining reforms that would promote a results-driven culture within the Commission.

“This initiative represents a new chapter for NIMC,” she said. “It will help us measure our impact, improve accountability, and ensure that every staff member contributes meaningfully to the overall goals of the Commission and the Renewed Hope Agenda.”

She further disclosed that the Commission had commenced a departmental cascade to ensure that all units align their objectives with the EPMS framework.

The event ended with the formal signing of the EPMS agreement by the DG, departmental heads, and representatives of the implementing partner, signalling what many described as the beginning of a performance-driven culture at NIMC.
