Nollywood Star, Kate Henshaw Questions Timing of National Anthem Change

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has expressed disappointment with the Tinubu-led administration’s decision to reintroduce the old national anthem.
Henshaw specifically questioned the timing of the shift, raising concerns about how reverting to the previous anthem would address the nation’s ongoing struggles.
Henshaw criticized the move amid the country’s “excoriating hardship and lack of good governance on every level.”
In a sarcastic post on her X handle, she wrote, “In the midst of excoriating hardship & lack of good governance on every level but not to worry, going back to a colonial anthem will be a soothing balm and inject patriotism back into our veins, a much needed drug.”
In another post, Henshaw added, “The labor of our heroes past…o ti lo [is gone].”
INCNews247 had earlier reported that President Bola Tinubu signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law on Wednesday, officially reinstating the former anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”
