Nigeria’s former President Olusegun Obasanjo has praised Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his significant investments in the state’s future.
Obasanjo’s commendation came during the commissioning of a multibillion-naira interchange project in Yola, marking Fintiri’s five-year tenure in office.
In his speech, Obasanjo noted that, despite criticism from adversaries, democracy remains firmly established in Nigeria.
He expressed confidence that the country’s democracy will continue to strengthen, citing achievements like the developments in Adamawa as evidence.
Reacting, Governor Fintiri attributed the success of the grade interchange project to hard work, thriftiness, devotion, and perseverance.
He noted that, despite initial reservations, the project was completed successfully and on time.
Fintiri urged skeptics to observe the outcomes that vision, courage, and commitment can produce.
Former Governor Bala Ngilari also lauded Fintiri for his innovative leadership, emphasizing the substantial development Adamawa State has experienced since Fintiri took office.
