Police Begin Manhunt as Gunman Opens Fire on Subway Train in New York

New York City police are actively searching for a gunman who opened fire on a subway train and station platform in the Bronx on Monday, resulting in the death of one man and injuring five others, INCNews247 reports.
According to officials from the New York Police Department (NYPD), the incident occurred during a confrontation between two groups of teenagers aboard a northbound train.
The situation, INCNews247 learnt further, escalated when someone from one of the groups brandished a firearm.

While the initial shot was fired inside the train, all six victims were struck by bullets while on the platform outside the train, the police confirmed.
Among the victims, a 34-year-old man died while the five others, ranging in age from 14 to 71 making four males and two females, were transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Addressing the perpetrator directly, Tarik Sheppard, the NYPD’s deputy commissioner of public information, declared, “To the shooter – you are now the NYPD’s most wanted, and you have the greatest detectives in the world looking for you. We suggest you turn yourself in.”
The NYPD continues its intensive investigation into the incident, urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the apprehension of the suspect.
